Which bra suits your heavy bust?

FRAUKE’S GUIDE TO SUPPORT

When your bust feels heavy and your bra isn’t giving you enough support, where do you start? Frauke from Miss Mary’s customer service team helps you narrow down the choice, whether you prefer an underwire, a more centered shape or firm support with a soft inside.

A person with gray hair, wearing glasses and a navy blazer, is examining a delicate lace bra in a fabric store.

Which bra would you suggest for plenty of support? An underwire, please!

Let’s look at how the cups do their job. Firm fabric in the lower part provides lift, and padded side support guides the bust toward the center. Together, they give a rounded shape without adding volume.

There’s also a raised lower edge at the front, called Ergo Front™. It helps prevent the band from folding when you sit down – worth looking for if that’s something that bothers you during the day.

I’m struggling to find an underwired bra that has support and beautiful details. Any suggestions?

Yes, you can choose something for the details and still get firm support. Behind the embroidered tulle, firm fabric in the lower cups provides lift, while the underwire adds support.

The design is a collaboration with Lars Wallin. Look closely at the upper cups and you’ll see two layers of embroidery creating a subtle 3D effect. The wide, elastic back adds support, too.

My bust keeps moving out to the sides, but I don’t like the feeling of an underwire. Is there a bra out there for me?

I’d like to show you the padded panels inside these cups. They help lift and bring the bust forward without an underwire.

The upper cups have stretch lace, so there’s flexibility where the bra meets your bust. Wide, padded straps also help relieve pressure on your shoulders. It’s a good one to try if you want a more centered shape but prefer going without a wire.

I’d like firm support without an underwire, but will it be comfortable?

The cups can be firm and still feel soft. Cotton Simplex has cotton on the inside, while its firm cups lift and separate the bust without an underwire.

Underneath, an extra-wide band adds support for a heavy bust. And the high mesh neckline gives more coverage. I’d suggest this one if you prefer a firm fit and a higher neckline.
